Suurstoffi<\/a> is a mixed neighbourhood in Risch-Rotkreuz (ZG) built around an old brick building that used to be an acetyl factory. The area hosts about 1500 residents, 2000 students and 500 employees, as well as many interesting and innovative buildings. In this Living Lab, SWICE researchers are studying mobility patterns and energy consumption within the context of new forms of work.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

\u00c9glantine<\/a> is a recently built neighborhood located in Morges (VD). A living lab approach has been implemented there to encourage residents to take charge of the neighborhood\u2019s sustainability project. The living lab aims to develop and test a methodology that involves various stakeholders into a common action plan for climate mitigation and adaptation. It also looks to establish a long term neighborhood governance.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The Outdoor Comfort Living Lab \u2013 also known as O\u2019Frais au Schoenberg<\/a> \u2013 is located in the neighbourhood of Schoenberg, in Fribourg (FR). It specializes in spatial interventions in urban open spaces. Its goal is to understand how such interventions affect residents\u2019 lives during peak heat, and how that may reduce energy consumption.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The Smart Living Lab<\/a> is a group of research infrastructures located in the Blue Factory district of Fribourg. A new building will serve as its base after its construction in 2027. The aim of this Living Lab is to achieve energy efficiency, digital transformation, and the well-being of its users. The Living Lab Lokstadt<\/a> is a newly built neighbourhood in a former industrial area in Winterthur. It comprises two housing cooperatives, private residential buildings as well as restaurants, stores, manufactories, small businesses and offices. The aim of the Living Lab is to test sustainable lifestyles. To this end, new approaches to living and working are developed and tested together with the residents of Lokstadt. The focus is on achieving a good balance between quality of life and resource conservation.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
