Outdoor Comfort Living Lab / O’Frais au Schönberg

The Outdoor Comfort Living Lab – also known as O’Frais au Schönberg – is located in the neighbourhood of Schönberg, in Fribourg (FR). It specializes in spatial interventions in urban open spaces.

Its goal is to understand how such interventions affect residents’ lives during peak heat, and how that may reduce energy consumption.

MAIN OBJECTIVE

Engage residents and local stakeholders in defining appropriate spaces for cooling interventions in urban open spaces, strengthen resilience to urban heat and improve well-being, particularly during heat waves. These interventions aim to reduce energy consumption, improve public spaces, and promote outdoor activity during extreme heat conditions.
