Living Lab

The Smart Living Lab is a group of research infrastructures located in the Blue Factory district of Fribourg. A new building will serve as its base after its construction in 2027.

The aim of this Living Lab is to achieve energy efficiency, digital transformation, and the well-being of its users.

Specific research areas include building energy dynamics, energy sources management, construction components and neighbourhood planning.

MAIN OBJECTIVE

Explore energy efficiency and well-being in the Halle Bleue and SLL buildings through research and experiments, using a 1:1 scale in real-world conditions
